4-Stroke Summer Series #1 At Pacific Raceways

07 June 2015 Kent, WA – Kicking off the summer series for the 4-stroke karts could not have a better weather day. Blue skies and warm weather greeted everyone first thing and the temp only going up. Plenty of liquids all around to keep hydrated, too hot for food when the lunch hour came around, just drink. Have to hope that even though it is a summer series that the weather will not be like this every race. These racers endured the heat to claim the top spots on the podium, in the 206 Light class Jerrett Cangle got it and in the 206 Heavy class Troy Conrad claimed to the top and the World formula top spot went to Doug Huggler.

Swift Tools ET Series Race #3

06 June 2015 Kent, WA – As the temps began climbing into the 80’s the liquid intake showed greatly on the faces of the racers and spectators alike. It had to be boiling in the fire suits with these temps as a lot had the top wrapped around their waists.

With a little less than normal car count as NHRA Division Six action north of the border claimed some I think the fact that racing was finished before 5:00 was a big relief to everyone involved.

Porsche Club Takes To Pacific Raceways Road Course

05 June 2015 Kent, WA – In the first of three scheduled visits to Pacific Raceways 2.25 mile track these German exotic cars came out in large numbers. Just about any type of Porsche could be seen running around the track.

Yes there are fast ones but there are also faster ones pushing their machines to the limit of what the driver could handle. This was not racing as most of these cars are quite expensive and the owners want to drive the car home in the same shape they drove it to the track in.

Just good fun lapping around the track getting some fine seat time safely. You can bet a lot of fun to watch and to look at in the paddock. Till the next on!

ProFormance Racing School – June 5th, 2015

Young to old and everyone in between is a candidate for a class in driving thru the school located on the Pacific Raceways track. The knowledge that you gain far outweighs what you think you know about driving under control. Young class takers out to see if this type of driving will fill the desire to be a race driver someday and the elder folks who are filling a bucket list or just to see if the skills they have possessed in the past are still around. MotoX Practice At Pacific Raceways

03 June 2015 Kent, WA – The mid- week practice sessions brings the riders out for a workout. They have to be in shape to handle the rigors of motoring around the track for a twelve to fifteen minute run. There is plenty of stretching prior to running just to get a little limber, which is pretty common.

The other fact is the practice you get in preparation for the Friday Night Series race. Nothing better than practice for what you are going to be doing no matter what you are doing. Most motor sports learn by the seat of their pants, watching the riders I have to think that a lot comes out of their legs as they are up on them a lot at times. No matter how you look at it if you ride and want to keep in riding shape come out for the workout mid-week at Pacific Raceways

Import Face Off At Pacific Raceways

31 May 2015 Kent, WA – When you give a call out for the imports to put on a show the owners bring them out for the show. Primed and shined for everyone to see and looking at those looking at them speaks loudly of the popularity of the cars.

There are too many makes and models to list and this fact really shows the how many ways that they can be customized. Add to this the teams that push these cars to the max like Speed Factory and English Racing that laid down some impressive numbers on the drag strip.

With thousands of people filling the grounds the busiest of people had to be BigFoods as the lines to get something to eat were lined up most of the day giving a nod to the great food they serve. Looking forward to the Forum Fest later this month for more of this racing action so come on out and see for yourself how exciting it is.

Swift Tools ET Series #2 At Pacific Raceways

30 May 2015 Kent, WA – Sunny spring weather and an itch to run the race car brought well over 200 entries to the Swift Tool ET Series Race #2 at Pacific Raceways.

Some were out for the first time as the winter builds were completed and a lot of the regular runners taking advantage of the nice weather, making it a family outing in the process. Many more of these Saturday are slated over the summer so come on out and watch the action, check Pacific’s new web site for the information on dates.

EF-65 & Junior Dragster #2 At Pacific Raceways

29 May 2015 Kent, WA – Race number two for the Jr. Dragsters at Pacific Raceways packed the pits. The three classes brought out 25 players in the run for the end of the year trip to the E.T. Finals.

Everyone out tonight was in contention, and all are still within a few rounds from changing their position. This could be in combination with the beautiful weather that brought the Jr’s out for tonight’s race. We all know that they love to drive their cars, clean and shined and ready to run as the Car Club ran their rounds of eliminations.

The family part of the drivers took over, eating and getting plenty of liquids like any other racing groups prepared for the next round.

Jr. Thunder Finals saw Porter Johnson top Aden Short and in the Jr. Lightning it was a battle of the Lewis’s with Devin topping Emily. In the Car Club Nick Douglas edged Larry DeCamp in a near 50 car field.

ProFormance Racing School – May 28th, 2015

28 May 2015 Kent, WA – Each time there is a ProFormance Racing School session there is a lapping chance for those that come out just to run their car. The range of these cars can be quite widespread. From very expensive sports cars to the everyday driven VW.

Just driving the track in your street car is thrill enough but the real benefit is you will drive away with a better understanding of how far you can push and still be safe. You are not running a race you are learning to control in a safe environment what you drive daily. Better driver here is better driver on the streets. Go through the school and learn even more that you thought you knew only to find out you don’t.

Urban Custom Bikes Race #2 At Pacific Raceway

27 May 2015 Kent, WA – Race number two of the Urban Custom Bikes Series had pretty much a different turnout in bike riders. Yes there were those that take part in all the series races, but the number of other riders that showed up shows the growing interest in the series.

It’s great to also see the different styles of bikes. Again it’s not how fast you are – it’s how many times can you run the same or very close to the same number. Consistency is the name of the game.

Putting together a bunch of 8.90’s Joe Lind walked away with the trophy when John Plaster fouled.
