14 June 2015 Kent, WA – The first of two on the schedule are done, now it is into the second day and the water and sunscreen is aplenty everywhere. Hot racing weather and hot racing go together like bread and butter. The drawback to the heat is that it will take its toll on man and machine.
Cooling both is a constant endeavor: if not the unexpected can happen. You hear it a lot and people say it a lot – “Need any water?”. There was plenty to be had at the Bigfoods stand and by the looks of the lines at times people were getting plenty of liquids with food.
At the end of the day these winner’s got past the heat. I would like to thank Breann Ipsen for the additional photography work.
