26 Apr 2014 Kent, WA – The Swift Tool E.T. Series for 2014 saw more than 130 entries for the first race. Mother Nature did her best to throw a wrench into the day with an overnight soaking, but the swift work needed to dry the track was taken care of by the great work by the track crew.
Speeding through time trials shows quickly the great prep and attention to what the sun will do to the track surface. This made the rounds of racing go by seemingly too fast as the finals were upon us before you knew it. Getting an early lead in points for race #1 are as follows:
Motorcycle: In a battle of past champs in a double break-out race Jake Havens the current champion stopped 2012 winner Joe Lind.
Sportsman: With his 54′ Ford Skyliner Jason Biscay beat #1 qualifier. Jasin Bravo.
PRO: A pair of Bremerton racer’s took to the finals with Jack Ward running closer to his dial to take the win over Robert Steffen.
SUPER PRO: Martin Dykstra took his fine looking 27′ roadster to a win when William Vest was a little eager in his new wagon and put the “red light” on.
These winner’s and the rest of the racer’s may have to wait as race #2 set for the next day may fall to “Mother Nature”.
