28 Dec 2013 Kent, WA – Moto Cross courses must have a lot of variety. These Moto GP courses that get laid out do they can be a learning experience for even the pro riders.
Logs, dirt, gravel and even asphalt surfaces to grip with a knobby tire. Up, down and around with a little go thru this is the name of the game. Straghtaway speeds on the pavement are quite fast but that grip has the rider’s attention as they have to slow down enough to manuver and almost go back in the direction you came from.
At an estamated length of 3 miles according to MX manager Lance Smail the course was being lapped in around 7 minutes for the Pro riders. That’s a pretty good time considering that most of obstacles are somewhat of a trap if the right line is not taken thru it, and with thick mud it had to be the worst I;ve seen with those sand traps right up there also.
More of these events are set up for the New 2014 Year and if you are interested check out Pacific Raceways web site to see the dates and information.
