With good weather for the weekend, Friday was for test and tune, and two days of racing events were also on the docket. The Chance to earn a NHRA “WALLY” trophy brought in many who will travel many miles just for the chance. If you win the first race you are playing on house money, but to double up brings in big bucks, not to mention the trophy/trophy’s.
In other action Dennis Boley went thru the process of earning a S/C or ET’s Super Pro liscense, by running the times required to do so. Good job Dennis, though I bet the beating the car gave you will not be soon forgotten. Head snapping to say the least.
The weekends racing began with Mike Gitting and his Division 6 crew prepairing the tracks surface. With tempatures rising and the surface getting hotter keeping the track prepped was a real challenge. Good job Mike.
Do not forget the food offered at Bremerton Raceway – They were busy with breakfast, lunch and a drink stand that has “hot of cold” with an eagerness towards the cold in the hot weather.
