Back for it’s yearly event at Pacific Raceways the Import Face off began a little after the time set as overnight and early morning light rain had the track crew working hard to dry the track surface. With record holding cars on the grounds, a well prepped and dry strip would go a long way toward more record attempts. Hundreds and hundreds of cars packed Pacific’s grounds and pit’s. As the racing came to a conclusion the attempt at a new record came just a tick short.
