Westbay Bracket Weekend At Bremerton Raceway

Jr.#13 and CC #2 and Nostalgia Hot Rod j 7-18-15 34717-19 July 2015 Bremerton, WA – It was a full weekend at Bremerton Raceway – the staging lanes were filled with 16 classes on the docket for Saturday and 7 on Sunday; it made for an action filled couple of days.

A test and tune on Friday night for those early runners for the weekend’s races to started things off. Roll into Saturday morning and the real reason everyone was here, race time. The weather was just plain hot as the sun baked everyone to over 90 degrees and sent all seeking shade where they could find it. There was no cooling off until the sun was well set and the same was predicted for Sunday.  It’s hard to get good sleep in this weather.

Sunday morning greeted everyone with the temps in the mid 70’s and climbing. This again had everyone seeking hydration and shade whenever possible, it was just plain hot but it beats the rain that everyone wants.  If a downpour had come no one would have objected, there was just a big sprinkler for all to run thru.

There is full event coverage by Seeitimagery – Four Albums of images are now available, the links to the album are just below – or click here for a list of all 2015 Events at Bremerton Raceway.

35th Anniversary Mustang Roundup At Pacific Raceways

35th Anniversary Mustang Roundup 7-16-15 46516 July 2015 Kent, WA – Short of a pure car show you will not find a wider selection of this American classic. These pony’s go the range of their years – 1960’s to the 2015’s of today.

In their yearly visit to Pacific Raceways 2.25 mile track the cars enjoy the power that has been built into it by the owner and the power that now comes right off the assembly line. Add in the Roush and other aftermarket folks that make these new cars really handle more like a race car then a pure street car.

Pretty cool taking 40 and 50 year old classics and making them handle as if it just came from the factory with all the latest bells and whistles. Yes you will see more highly modified Mustang’s at the car shows but this classic can be built for “show or go” and look good doing either one.

It was great day for those that enjoy seeing the Mustang’s run like the horse in the first advertisement ads on TV.

Motocross Practice At Pacific Raceways

MX Practice 7-15-15 47315 July 2015 Kent, WA – It was another mid-week night of practice in advance of the Friday night series at the MX track at Pacific Raceways. These practice sessions prove to be very beneficial to those who take advantage of them.

As in any motorsports, seat time is the most important of the preps that you can do to improve yourself as a rider. Young or old makes little difference, seat time is seat time and the more you do it the better you will get.

Come out for a mid-week romp around the moto track even if you do not take part in the race series for a good workout on your bike.

Click here for images of the session today; they are now available for purchase – thanks for your support

Swift Tools ET Series Event #8 at Pacific Raceways

Swift Tool ET #8 7-12-15 04212 July 2015 Kent, WA – Day two of the back-to-back Swift Tool ET Series.  The overcast skies had a muggy feeling for a while, then the clouds parted for some sunshine to bask in. For the racers it was a chance to keep cool in the cars and hope the tune up was on for their run.

Dialing in the hundredths is knowing your car and yourself as this racing is about being constant in what you are doing.   There were 150 or so racers going for the four different class wins and the points that go with it.   All looking for a spot in the ET Finals in Boise over Labor Day weekend.

Images of the day are now online and available , broken into two sets of images and albums – click on the Series A link for the 1st album, and the Series B link for the 2nd album:

Porsche Club Day At Pacific Raceways

Porsche Club 7-10-15 16110 July 2015 Kent, WA – For the second of three events on the schedule Shay and her band of Porsche club members took to Pacific Raceways 2.25 mile track for a day of lapping.

Starting in the morning with a drivers meeting that everyone must attend the schedule for the different classes was laid out and awards for various deeds were given out, then they are off till noon for a lunch break put together by BigFoods.

Then off again till cutoff time when the track changes from a road course to a dragstrip – though for eight hours these fine cars took advantage of their track time each time they are here.

Check Pacific’s web site for the next time they are here.

Junior Dragster #8 & Car Club At Pacific Raceways

Jr. Dragster #8 and Car Club 7-10-15 12510 July 2015 Kent, WA – Time to earn points is getting closer and a gathering of 26 trying to gather the most to boost their standings for a trip to Boise. Always a great time watching the Jr’s and their families interact and support each other, a great way to begin the future stars in drag racing.

The competition was intense and it ended with hand shake at the end for a great race, you cannot beat this kind of fun. In between rounds for the Jr’s Car Club ran another in their series of races.

With a wide range of cars in the club a spectator has a great view of mostly street legal cars racing safely.

Four winners emerged in the end, three in the Jr. Series and the Car Club winner.

Final Day of 27th Annual NW Historics At Pacific Raceway

SOVREN 7-5-15 13905 July 2015 Kent, WA – The last day for the Historics weekend ended as it began, “HOT”. The temps were well above normal and everyone was after the same thing, shade and liquid. It had to be the perfect time for a cool suit as a driver all in your protective gear suffers from the heat that comes from a race car.

For those watching the umbrella for shade and no rain seemed to be the perfect fit.  Since all of this was for Seattle Children’s Hospital all felt strongly that the heat was just something that happens when you are doing things for a good cause.

I would much rather see those seeking shade than protection from the rain.  Great job by the SOVREN leaders and their cast of volunteers for a great event for a greater cause.  It was an amazing weekend!

This last batch of images makes the total for the weekend just over 2,500 images, broken into four albums.  Please take a look, and your purchases are greatly appreciated!!
