ProFormance Racing School AM Skills, Novice HP & PM Lapping Weekend at Pacific Raceways

11 Feb 2017 Kent, WA – Back for the first time this year the AM Skills class brought in sixteen students for classroom and on track learning. No matter your age or gender you start in the classroom eyes intent on what Don Kitch is telling you. It is the start of what ProFormance Racing School is all about.

What you gain from the in classroom and the four coned stages will show you and let your body feels and what input you need to do to your car in case you need to do so. Being prepared for anything when you are driving is the awareness you will also gain. Just about everything that is taught in the class is not given in drivers training.

This fact brought out a young lady just about ready to get her driving life underway. With no prompting from her parents the choice to take the class was her own, pretty smart on her part. As per requirements all teen drivers are instructed to bring their “daily driver” to class. This young lady rolled up in a full size Chevy truck, something I have not seen run thru the program, all makes and models of cars but no trucks. The shiny smile, I say that because she does wear braces would be hard pressed to remove at the end of the day and also saying “I will be back” to the track to learn even more.

Follow this teen driver’s lead and contact ProFormance Racing School for info on upcoming dates to do the same for yourself as this wise beyond her years young lady did for herself.

Teen Street Survival Course at ProFormance Racing School

04 Feb 2017 Kent, WA – For those parents and teens that attended the school today it mattered only slightly that it was raining. Yes, it was less than ideal conditions, but you could see the focus in their faces as Don Kitch and his instructors coached the teens thru classroom instruction and behind the wheel.

There were four different stages, two at a steady 25 miles per hour and two at 50 miles per hour. What you learn from these four stages is applicable to anyone not just for the teens as this is the way all should learn what to do when faced with it. It’s well worth the investment to go thru the ProFormance Racing School, check out their website for upcoming dates.

On another part of the property The Motorsports Lab and two of their many “super cars” were giving drivers the thrill of piloting one around a coned off pattern of twists and turns. Add to the course the “rain” puddles created by Mother Nature and her winter weather in the northwest.

Watching a Lamborghini plow thru four inches of water is not something you see every day unless you are at their factory testing grounds. Not exactly what they had in mind when they signed up for the experience but the smiles afterword tells all. To learn more go to motorsports.com for more info.

ProFormance High Performance Sport Driving Day

29 Jan 2017 Kent, WA – The event was postponed from last weekend, and we had much better weather day for some lapping around the track. It was dry around the 2.25 mile track, but the chill will take a few laps to get the tires up to temp then that chilly air will bring the engines alive.

For those who came out to run the track the smiles told all, they were having fun. On the property also taking advantage and using the paddock in auto-cross fashion was the UW Department of Mechanical Engineering, who brought out their projects and laptops for some testing.

A closer look shows all kinds of designs built into their test car (they have two) with data gathering points all over. Well in excess of 100 points taking the time to look close. No close in pics were allowed to give away their thoughts.

Watching them run the course a number of laps then checker the drive to come in, then watching the crew surround the car with probes and tablets taking readings and logging the information was really no different than any other race team out for a test session. It was great to see them again and can’t wait till next time they come out to test.

Images of the action and a few distant shots of the UW Engineering programs are now available – click here to go to the photo album.

The next track day is Feb.4th check info on the ProFormance Racing School website.

PNSCA Awards Banquet

21 Jan 2017 Kent, WA – The annual awards for a season well done is the big deal – no matter the class it is what you strive for at the beginning of the season. The Super Comp group is a very close knit bunch that has a lot of fun together on and off the race track.

Bring them together for a good meal and awards will bring out the laughter and joking that they share with one and another, that is until the helmet goes on then as it goes its game on.

For the third season in a row Dale Green has been a machine claiming yet another championship. DG Machine is of course his business and that attention to detail translates to his racing operation and himself. Congratulations to Dale and all the other racers getting awards for their accomplishments this past racing season.

Images of all the fun, the trophies, and the rest are now available. Click here to go to the photo album.

Pacific Raceways Awards Banquet

14 Jan 2017 Kent, WA – Time to gather and give the champions their due for besting the rest in 2016. Fathers, mothers, family and friends all got thanks for their support from the champs. This is of course every bit a family and friends sport.

Watching everyone just being themselves enjoying a great meal while trading updates on their racing operations generates the urge for the racing season to begin and for all the winner’s the urge to repeat.

Images from the banquet are now available – click here to go to the photo album.

See you at the track and “good luck” to all in your quest to pick up the goods at next year’s “Winners Banquet”.

4-Stroke Racing Series At Pacific Raceways

07 Jan 2017 Kent, WA – 08 Jan 2017 Kent, WA – Put money on the line and contenders for it will come out. Today the LO 206 class of 4-stroke karts came out to claim some.

The first hour of practice saw the “slicks” running on the karts but just as it came to an end the rains came and so did the mad scramble to change tires. Three heat races had no change to the weather so the “rain” tires put all on the same playing field.

A lot of great “side by side” and “nose to tail” competition looking to claim that first place cash. In the end the buck did stop fittingly to Mason Buck in the top spot with Stepanova Nekkeel in second and Monroe Jordan third place on the podium.

Over 400 images are now available.  Click here to go to the photo album.

Look for upcoming dates on the PGP website.

1st High Performance Sport Driving Day of 2017

07 Jan 2017 Kent, WA – Jumping into a new year will bring new resolutions; one good one is to become a better driver.  If you’ve got a 2017 Mustang, or a 1999 Porsche and a 20707 Vette, there is not much in common past “nice cars”. The commonality is the driver’s, all three taking the driving class at ProFormance Racing School to better pilot their choice rides.

Pretty smart in the resolution department choosing to learn from some very qualified instructors led by Don Kitch. Putting this program in your back pocket is a bang for your buck that is worth every one of them. It really makes no difference what you drive it will pay to go thru it. For more information contact proformanceracingschool.com for upcoming dates.

Happy New Year

31 Dec 2016 Kent, WA – From all of us here at See it Imagery we wish you and yours wonderful New Year.  2017 Racing Season, Here we come!

Final High Performance Sport Driving Day of 2016

17 Dec 2016 Kent, WA – Daily drivers to pure race cars alike took part in the final High Performance Sport Driving Day of 2016.

Seat time they say, “You can’t get enough”.  With a wide range of weather conditions that come up you can practice in a safe manor around the track as corner workers and track personal keep an eye on your driving, safety first is always first, no one wants to pile up their ride and keeping you inside your driving skills pays off.

Today it was 20 degrees for air temps, and a cold track surface to greet the drivers and cars. That seat time was out front and center as KD Motorsports, fresh off their class win in the 25 hour event down in California came out for more in their PRO3 cars.

Running “nose to tail” for 30 min. sessions is nothing like running hours at a time but it’s 30 minutes more seat time in different weather conditions. Follow the PRO3 drivers, get more seat time and become a better driver.

Images from the track are now available – click here to go to the photo album.

The next date is Jan. 7th 2017. For all dates go to Pacific Raceways web site for information. See you next year and have a Happy Holiday Season from all at See It Imagery.

Toys For Tots at Pacific Raceways

nw-toy-drive-12-4-16-23304 Dec 2016 Kent, WA – Each December the Pacific Raceways property plays host to some very generous people. The annual NW Toy Drive benefiting Toys for Tots is sponsored by Lexus of Bellevue and the O’Brian Auto Group, and thousands of folks brought their un-wrapped gifts or cash donation for the Marine Corps Reserve program.

nw-toy-drive-12-4-16-100Combine this with holiday music covering the many cars out for the car show gathering. Out on the 2.25 mile track a “lead/follow” program overseen by ProFormance Racing School was giving those who take part an idea of what it feels like to drive a road course.

nw-toy-drive-12-4-16-70In the house, Santa and his helpers were on hand accepting gifts and posing for pictures, also on hand passing out candy canes was Ed Troyer from the Pierce County Toys for Tots program.

nw-toy-drive-12-4-16-163Every year that I have covered this event it has gotten bigger and bigger thus proving the generosity of the NW to those in need. This year exceeded last year’s total in boxes of toys and those taking part in the lead/follow.

nw-toy-drive-12-4-16-510nw-toy-drive-12-4-16-43Great job by all those involved as it takes many to help bring it together each year. Till next year Happy Holidays to all.
